If your backup was made in a different browser (e.g. Firefox vs Chrome), the messages will not appear
in that other browser — you must restore in the same browser you originally used.
⚠ Do not use this to run two sessions simultaneously. This backup includes your OMEMO
identity keys. Restoring them on a second active browser or device while the original is still in use
will cause OMEMO decryption to break — the double ratchet states will diverge. This restore is for
browser wipes and computer migrations only.
⚠ Existing Data Warning: IndexedDB already contains a message store for
. Importing will merge
new records in — it will not delete existing messages. However, any key that exists in both
the backup and the current store will be overwritten with the backup version.
